Kitty is going to Grady in the morning and the bite is cleaned out. *** My outdoor kitty got in a fight and has a bite wound in his back leg. A little blood, but I went to Web MD for pets and now l am worried. Of course, it's the weekend...and no vets are open. Any home remedies to treat or is an emergency vet appointment needed?

  Im so upset. My 13 yr old Cat, Felinicus is very sick. He had labored breathing. We took him to the vet immediately.. They did xray n his lungs are filled with fluid. Very small area left for him to breathe. Once he was rested he wasnt struggling. We had to keep him calm n happy. He was started on a lasix to flush the fluid n it is def working. He cant be on it for long time though. So he needs to definitely be seen by a cardiologist . So my question does anyone know of a reasonable priced specialist????? He needs to get a sonogram of his heart. Please keep my first baby in your prayers n if anyone has any info to pass on . I truly appreciate it. I just dont wanna be taken advantage of.   My dog also has a heart problem. I took him to NY VET CENTER 2233 Broadhollow Rd in FARMINGDALE. Dr. Goodwin is a great cardiologist. 631 694 3400. Good luck

  For my animal loving folks: advice needed. A close friends dog, named Abbey, a dachshund, has fallen and is partially paralyzed (3 herniated discs). Cannot walk. Family is heartbroken. A basic veterinarian told them if surgery not done by today for $5,000.00 , there could be no hope due to swelling issues. Family didn't have the full amount for surgery. Specialist (and prayers) now needed. Any suggestions? Surgical specialists who are worth consulting with? Anyone else with paralysis experience ?
