  Does anyone know of a place that is super cheap or free to have a baby shower at? I want to have it on the 24th(i think that is a Saturday )I need to find a place quick.

  JACKSON COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION SELL’S MILL PARK TATE PAVILION AND “THE MILL” RESERVATION PROCEDURES 1) Reservations for Tate pavilion are made on first come, first served basis. Reservations for each calendar year will be taken beginning the first business day after the New Year’s holiday. 2) The fee to reserve the pavilion is $50.00 for each date or dates. Reservations may be made in person at the Jackson County Parks and Recreation office, located at 1801 County Farm Rd., Jefferson, or by mail. The fee must be paid before a reservation is confirmed. Reservation may be requested by phone, but those making the request must make payment within 10 days of their request in order to have their reservation confirmed. Individuals who mail in a reservation will be confirmed only if there is space available at the time. The request is processed by the parks and recreation office. A written confirmation/receipt will be given to the reserving party. 3) Reservations for “The Mill” are made on a first come, first served bases. Monday – Friday $15.00 per hour with a three (3) hour minimum; Saturday and/or Sunday $100.00 per day (full day rental only). Time for rental will be from 10:00 am till the park closes. There will be four (4) round tables and twenty-four (24) chairs made available with your rental. You must clean up all trash and take it with you when you leave. You may also rent a portable restroom if your party needs one, contact JCPR for information regarding this charge. 3) Reservations should be made for the date and hours specifically needed. The pavilion and Mill can be reserved and used during normal Park hours only. Special reservation times may be made if requested and approved by the JCPR director. 4) Reservation fees are non-refundable with the following exceptions: A. If any party chooses to cancel a reservation two weeks in advance or more, half of the fee will be refunded. B. A waiver of the reservation fee may be granted to community-wide civic groups, school groups or Jackson County church groups. However, in the event that such a group has reservation but fails to show up on its scheduled date without two weeks advance notice, Jackson County reserves the right to bill the group the $50.00 to replace lost revenue. Pastors and principals must sign for church and/or school groups. Reservations are made through the Jackson County Parks and Recreation office, 1801 County Farm Rd., Jefferson, Georgia 30549. Often the more popular pavilions are reserved weeks, even months in advance. The set procedures are set forth to provide a higher degree of probability that all parties have an opportunity to use the pavilion. Reserving the pavilion and not using them potentially denies someone else the opportunity to use the pavilion. The fee is necessary to help cover some of the expense of the park and pavilion maintenance.
