  Heading out of the country, need a pet sitter We are going out of the country for Christmas this year and are looking to get a pet sitter for our dog instead of boarding him for two weeks. Does anyone have any recommendations on who we should use? We look on the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters website to get a list started, but no idea where to go from there as reviews are few and far between it seems. We are in the Brookhaven area if that helps. Thanks!

  My wife and I have used [Critter Sitters](http://critter-sitters.com/) for our cats before and they were great! Bonded and insured, the guy watching them would text us when he came and left, as well as send photos. Also, if you're in an apartment complex, see if there are any folks local that walk dogs or dogsit. Might be a little cheaper and easier.
