Hey DFW, where do you go to get your synths fixed? I might go to Austin this weekend, but I need my gear here locally. Halp?

For solid state stuff, including effects, I usually go to Earhart. He is great for cabs, effects, and solid state heads and such. I've had a little bit of trouble from some work he'd done years ago on one of my amps, but that mainly because they didn't do a thorough test job and we had a bad tube from the factory. But he is good with other electronics. I've heard some bad stories about his shop (and most are second hand so who knows) and I know people who will only use him. So based on my experience, I trust him with things that are not tube monsters! http://www.earhartelectronics.net/
Sometime last year there was a thread relating to a couple of places that were recommended to get an amp repaired. I have done some searching on past threads but cannot find it. I have a Fender amp...
Over the years, Bill Banks has done a few repairs for me, too, and I've always been very happy with the turnaround and his work. Another thought, since you live in Arlington -- Earhart Electronics is an authorized service center for a bunch of amp makers (including Fender, Marshall, etc.). Sunday, at the Guitar Show, I talked to Michael Earhart about repairing a blackface Bandmaster of mine. They're located at 400 N. Bowen, suite 106 in Arlington. The phone number is 817-299-9100. Kerry
