Fredi and his crew do B/B+ work, at a decent price, but he is difficult to communicate with, and often requires many interactions to get a job done right. If you need a budget carpenter and are willing to put up with some mis-communication and potential frustration, Fredi may get you a good result.
We ended up needing quite a bit of carpentry work during our renovation, and once we selected Fredi for the major pieces, we ended up using him for all the minor ones. At first it was nice working with him, he seemed dedicated to making sure we were pleased, and repeatedly pledged to get things done exactly as we wanted. Although it required more meetings and over-communication to get to an agreed-upon plan, we at least felt good that his price seemed fair (low, to be honest, in comparison with other carpenters), and that he would deliver good work.
Unfortunately, starting from the first milestone Fredi was late. And it wasn't just that he was late, he claimed he wasn't late, that it wasn't his fault, that everything would be fine, etc, etc. That was aggravating to happen at the first deadline, but the same behavior continued. Eventually he delivered the first set of pieces, which overall looked great, except that he made a few minor changes at the last minute which he felt would make us happier. Unfortunately when kitchen cabinets have the wrong dimensions, the pieces just don't work. So, we had to set some parts back for him to fix.
Then, as each piece came in, it seemed there was a similar story. It was close, but not quite right. He had to return to the job site, re-work things, make changes, etc, etc. On the positive side, he did come back many times to get things right. On the other hand, matters reached the absurd when he re-built a cabinet four separate times because instructions were not followed. I get that it happens sometimes, but a carpenter should be able to follow directions, and dimensions.
In the end, we're pleased with our carpentry, but the process and challenges throughout were so difficult that I cannot rate Fredi highly. Although the output is good, the road to get there is very tough. If you are ready for a challenge, and can communicate well - or have a very straightforward project - he may be a fit for you.

Fredi is a solid carpenter - he does fairly good work, and you can rely on him to get things right in the end. Sometimes it takes him two or three tries to get things right, and communication with him can be difficult (not necessarily a language issue). But in the end, he does produce decent results, and his price is quite good comparatively, so he's worth considering for your carpentry needs.
