Hey there!
Does anyone know where I can rent a Speedlite near Portland? I checked Borrow lenses, but the shipping is more than the rental, so I'd prefer to find a place near Portland so I can just go pick it up.

Question for you all:
Family is taking a road trip from San Francisco to Anacortes with a stopover in Portland both on the way up and back.
My dad is looking to get my sister a camera and I advised him to purchase it in Portland as there is no tax on the item. Ideally a purchase on the way up so she can use it for. Their whale watching your while up there.
Can anyone recommend a good camera store in the Portland area that also sells the protection warranties as well?
We're looking at the T5i or 6i for her.

Best Buy Cascade Station would be your most convenient stop. Excellent variety, and they offer 12 month financing if you would like to go that route. But Pro Photo Supply is an excellent choice also.
does anyone know where you can rent a laptop for like a week? I am going on a trip and have a portable external HD I will take with me so it will really just be a go between for me to transfer photos each night, or if you know of a rather inexpensive laptop I can buy (under $200) TYIA
