  Ok…I just went to get my dress fitted at David's Bridal and the alterations are going to cost more than the dress. Paid $300 for a simple dress because that is what I wanted (simple and elegant) but the alterations are going to cost me $407.52. I asked if they were doing more to this dress than the normal alterations and they said that the alterations I am having is the norm. They are having to hem the bottom up about 1 in. and let the side seam out a little. They are also putting a bustle on it (9 buttons). I'm sorry but I feel that is a little outrageous. There is no embellishment anywhere that will be altered in these changes. It just seems a little outrageous. Sooooo….my question is…does anyone know anyone that can do alterations for any cheaper than this?
