Piano lesson advice wanted I need piano book recommendations. My 3 year old twins are interested in learning the piano properly. We went to a friend's house on Saturday and they played for half a hour on her piano at one point. How do I find a good tutor? I think they are ready as well. Suggestions on piano music books also needed. Which ones do you recommend? Beginner of course.
We are buying a piano next spring. Are there any piano groups for homeschooled kids or not? I think it is a good idea if they join a group lesson for socialization reasons rather than learn at home.

We are using http://hoffmanacademy.com. There are high quality video lessons for free and materials you can purchase to supplement. Not for everyone, but something to consider for the do it yourself type person.

Would like to find someone local to give lessons to our son. He is only 3 1/2 but is in love with the piano. Looking for something simple to help guide him. An hour ever week or even once every couple. Send me a message if you know of someone or may have ability.

I've been working with my grandson (and learning myself) using online instructions from Hoffman Academy. :-) https://www.hoffmanacademy.com/ Not sure if it will work for you, but it's an alternative to a real live teacher.
My 4th grader is going to switch from violin to piano. We went to Forte in Lakeville, which is great, but I am hoping to find someone in New Market or that will come to our house for lessons. Any piano teacher suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated!!

Also, someone recommended Annie Wygant in Elko. I messaged her and she also has a waiting list but is willing to add people to it. I e-mailed Kaity Heart but have not heard back yet. I'm going to check out some free on-line classes too. Haven't looked at this site yet, but here is one link: https://www.hoffmanacademy.com
Karen Brodeur asked, "I am looking for piano/keyboard lessons from a book or DVD for my 7-year-old daughter. Suggestions?"

All of the teaching videos are completely FREE. they charge a very small fee for the worksheets that go along with the lessons. i highly recommend this website for piano. my kids love it!

"I'm looking for a piano one. Pros and Cons?"
Anne R. replied:
Online free piano program. Minimal cost for downloadable extras. Parents can learn as they go. Newsletter with parent teaching tips and practice ideas. Great quality and positive learning! Mr. Hoffman is professional and fun. Good role model for boys too. If you don't like online, he used to offer dvds you could purchace. Not sure that option is still available. https://www.hoffmanacademy.com/

Agree with www.hoffmanacademy.com for piano and a good guitar one is www.aaronsguitarlessons.com.
Stephanie is asking a great question... "Are you familiar with a piano curriculum for a 6 year old with a mama without musical experience?" Suggestions?

We like hoffmanacademy.com. It's free!

Hoffman Academy all the way!!!https://www.hoffmanacademy.com/ Great video lessons are only 10 minutes. The lessons are free and then for a very reasonable price you can get the book to go along with it. You don't have to get the book but it is a good supplement. Works great for our special needs daughter as she can rewind if she misses something and the lessons are short.
