About us
Hi my name is Nikki Anayiotou. I'm the Cake Angel. My history in baking stems from my grandparents and my parents. My late grandfather opened the very first Greek Cypriot bakery in North London back in 1960 and he specialised in artisan bread and Cypriot sweets and bakery goods. He trained my parents who then went on to open their own bakery in and around London! I have memories of playing in the bakery and all the wonderful smells of yeast and baking that goes with it! Unfortunately my father past away when I was 10 so my mother stopped baking!
Growing up I never really knew what I wanted to do. Until one day my lovely niece was flicking through a cake book that I had in the cupboard and she asked me if I could make he a piggy bank cake, so I took on the challenge! Low and behold, my love for baking surfaced! I carried on making cakes for friends and family who kept saying I should do it professionally, so here I am. I started Cake Angel back in 2007 slowly baking for customers here and there and now I have my repeat customers and beautiful cakes are leaving my kitchen week in, week out!
Cake Angel specialises in celebration cakes, cupcakes and cake-pops. All cakes are designed in collaboration with each clients needs, which makes every cake unique. All cakes are baked fresh to order and are NEVER frozen! We pride ourselves on not only a perfect looking cake but a deliciously moist and flavoursome cake, using only great quality ingredients and organic ingredients where requested.
