I know there is an Amesbury recommends page but I can't seem to get on there. Anyway is there a local irrigation guy that could come out and replace some sprinkler heads in my front lawn? I like to support the little guy. Thanks.

Website: www.amesburyrecommends.com, some good landscapers on there who could probably help.
I have looked over Amesbury Recommends, but would love a personal recommendation. I need a contractor for a small one story addition. If you have used someone you would recommend, please let me know. Thank you!
Anyone know of anyone who fixes flutes in the area?

No problem, Chris! David Schumacher recommended you, so we will definitely call the next time we need a saxophone repair. Great to have this service so local! P.S. I added you to amesburyrecommends.com.
Any recommendations on a local, good & reasonably priced massage therapist?

Agreed, Michelle Baker ! There was a recent post with the same question. If you can't search the page (do so in a browser- mobile or not) try http://www.amesburyrecommends.com

My husband has been out clearing roofs. I know admin doesn't want us posting stuff but I'm just replying to a post and I've also requested that my husband be on the amesbury recommends page. If you need help please send a message. Thanks and good luck!!

Anyone have any luck? 2Penn has at least a week's waiting list, and Carpentry Construction, Inc. can't do it right now either... The listings on Amesbury Recommends isn't helping, either.
Looking for a handyman. Someone local, maybe retired and looking for extra cash. I know of the list here on A.T but was hoping for a personal reference. Thanks!

Jennifer, just so you know... unless otherwise specified, all of the listings on AmesburyRecommends.com are personal references from AT. Most people just give a name, but you can always search the group for specific comments if not already included with the listing. Good luck!
Can someone tell me how the "recommends" list works? Does a business have to be recommended a certain number of times or how does one get on it? I'm asking because I'm looking for someone reliable and honest (person or company) that can install a picket fence within the next few weeks. We have all of the necessary material, we just need installation.

Hi Conny, Amesbury Recommends was started by the AT Admins as a way to minimize the frequently repeated request for things like Plumbers, Landscapers, Tree services, Car Detailers, Carpet Cleaners etc... The listings were compilations of AT recommendation over the last year and a half. A lot of the recs are short on info because many people just throw out a name without a link or phone number etc... but we also have a form where people can add or update listings. It's pretty extensive for a set of local listings (if you ask me)... but people still seem to want "fresh" recommendations. That said, the page still gets 60-100 views a day, so I guess some folks find it handy...which is nice. I actually use it often myself! http://www.amesburyrecommends.com/
I know there was a thread about this before but I can't seem to find it. Does anyone have a recommendation for a great kennel for our much loved family dog. Nothing outrageous just somewhere that you felt took good care of you pet when you had to be away? Thank you!

Unfortunately you can't access the Search on most mobile devices - That's one of the reasons we created Amesbury Recommends. http://www.amesburyrecommends.com/
Please tell me where to find the AT suggested local business list again? Had my roof cleared during the weeks of snow, stayed clear, and NOW have a big leak in a bedroom. Thanks!
Looking for a clean and reasonably priced nail salon. Last time I went to Star Nails they made my foot bleed and used dirty equipment. So, not going back there. Thanks!!
Hello! We are moving to Amesbury this Friday and are worried about the amount of snow and getting the moving truck in. Does anyone know of a good local snow removal business/person? I understand that this might not be the best use of this forum but we are running out of resources. Thanks!!!
