  The website www.signingsavvy.com is one I send a lot of my patrons to for learning individual signs. They have short video clips of how to sign many, many different words in ASL. I teach ASL in my storytimes, so I recommend that site a lot. That might be a fun extension to your lessons. Maybe mention how some signs are different city to city, state to state, and country to country. ASL comes from French sign language and is completely different from British sign. I'll shut up now! Sorry, I get excited sharing information about Deafness and signing.

  my daughter liked the baby einsteins "baby's first signs" video. otherwise if there was a word I wanted to learn/teach I used http://www.signingsavvy.com I think when I last counted she had around 30-40 signs that she knew. She was the only one of my 4 to pick it up though, but she wasn't very verbal until 2+ yrs. My others were very early talkers so didn't really need it.

  Websites to use for signing are signingsavvy.com and lifeprint.com, my professor told us to use these if we have a question about a sign for a word. The problem with books and websites are they tend to be out of date with current signs. Also there are different signs for the same word and same signs for different words based of the way the word is used in the sentence.
