About us

after working in the catering industry for many years as a pastry chef i had to give it all up at the age of 27 to raise my ever growing family. During my career as i pastry chef i worked in some amazing kitchens for some amazing chef's. Maison Nouvelli was my first taste, working with a chef called Duncan Impey and wow he was amazing. then on completing all my college courses i decided to move to jersey in the channel islands and work in a Michelin starred hotel called Longueville Manor. from there i was head hunted by the head chef of their sister restaurant called Suma's and i found my place. loved the hustle and bustle of the restaurant kitchen rather than the hotels. I left Suma's with the head chef Shaun Rankin and a few of the other chef's to help Shaun open Bohemia in St.Helier Jersey. I wasn't prepared for what was to come next. Running my own pastry kitchen, lots of very long days to ensure perfection and continuity in my desserts, then we gain our first Michelin star. we were all so proud of this little piece of magic we had all created. I left there in 2006 to have my first child, moved back to Bournemouth to be near my family, got married and had 2 more children. i dabbled with making novelty cakes over the years but this year i decided that was it time to do something for me again and CakenGlory was born.
