Any secret places to find great deals on furniture? I've looked at Monk's in Sanford, but know High Point is *the* place to go. We are looking to buy furniture for our new house, but don't want to necessarily pay retail. :) Thanks!!

We ordered furniture from furnituregeek.com (out of highpoint) when we lived in New York and it was way below cost even with the delivery (2 guys in a truck drove it from NC to Brooklyn!). Great quality...still looks great 3 years later. We did have to wait 6 weeks for delivery but worth it! There's also the "transit damaged freight" store off US1 north which actually has no damaged items as far as I could tell. Great looking stuff and a large selection. Some prices were very high....other prices just right!
Furniture store recommendations in Chicago? I am looking to buy new living room furniture/ at least a couch. Any recommendations or favorite places ?

We have actually bought a few items (bed, dining room, china cabinet) from http://www.furnituregeek.com/ . They have great prices and the delivery guys are always friendly. I shop in the store to see what I want and then check with Furniture Geek to see if I can get it for cheap. They are based out of North Carolina or somewhere out east, so delivery can sometimes take a few weeks.
