The reason why “Forelock and Load” came to be. I would welcome comments on the name and how/why people selected the name they have for their business.
The name to us and our team is not just a name. The forelock is the top of the horses mane. This is symbolic and has a practical element of protection from the elements.
The load describes the strength and action. Load is also a reference to the shooting element of the business under the connotations of the business of rural pursuits.
Hence the motto / strap line "A passion for the countryside”
