  My wife and I used to frequent Rex's Cork & Fork; since it closed, we haven't been able to find anyplace else with quite the same combination of a broad, well-executed menu and a quiet, comfortable atmosphere conducive to conversation. Has anyone else looking for the same qualities in a restaurant found at least a servicable replacement in the area?

  St Charles Place is probably the closest experience to what Rex's was. Mike Kaatz is my father and he ran and owned Rex's until it closed and yes we have opened The Bend, It is an Italian deli. We are located at the corner of 4 th ave and Main St. Please check out our website at thebendgs.com.
