Plant nurseries that will deliver? Hi, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good nursery that would deliver plants to charlottesville area? I’m UK based so not too knowledgeable about how it would work in the US (especially with coronavirus atm) but i’m looking to send a plant as a present to someone so would be grateful if anyone could help. Ideally local but anything would be fine really. thanks !!

Best places to order plants/seeds? I'm trying to plan my garden for this year. I keep seeing everyone's beautiful plants and I'm super inspired but there's not really any garden centers or nurseries near me that carry a large range of smaller or more decorative plants. All the places I've checked out are either super basic or geared towards commercial landscaping/farming. I don't mind ordering online or from a catalogue but I want good quality. I'm in Virginia, USA.
Where do you all get seeds and plants from?
I have a list of things I'm looking for if it helps:
Heirloom tomatoes and peppers.
Passionfruit vines.
Container friendly fruit trees: cherry, tropical, or citrus (not grapefruit).
Canna lily
Ginger
Jasmine
Heirloom roses
Butterfly friendly wildflowers

Totally Tomatoes catalog for tomatoes and other veggies. https://www.totallytomato.com/ Loggee's for tropicals and citrus. https://www.logees.com/ Raintree Nursery for fruit trees, but they are in Oregon, so maybe there is someone closer who has fruit trees. I'd ask your County Extension Agent master gardener. Heirloom Roses from David Austin Roses or Heirloom Roses. https://www.davidaustinroses.com/us/ https://www.heirloomroses.com/ I'd ask your local conservation society or County Extension Agent for the best wild flowers for your area. There are so many! Selected Seeds and also try this Virginia Butterfly Flowers website: https://www.plantnovanatives.org/butterflies
Where to buy plants online? Hi guys!
I'm fairly new to the sub so I'm sorry if this is a well-worn subject, but I currently live in an area that doesn't have any local plants stores other than the Home Depot nursery. I'm very interested in expanding my collection of houseplants, but am unsure of where to look for quality seeds/clippings online. Does anyone have recommendations of where to purchase plants online?

Looking for a Spotted Begonia! Hi friends! My girlfriend wants nothing in this whole wide world more than a spotted begonia. She talks about wanting one every day and has threatened straight up murder to get her hands on one.
Her birthday is in a couple weeks and I would LOVE to gift her her heart's desire. Problem is we cannnnnnot find one at any of the nurseries near us. We live in Atlanta (south of 20) and haven't had a chance to explore nurseries OTP.
Anyone in the area know where I can find one?? Or has anyone had any luck ordering plants online? Makes me nervous having a plant shipped.
Any tips are appreciated! :)

I ordered one from logees.com about a week ago (haven't received it yet though) and I've had good luck ordering online in general. So far I've ordered about a dozen with only minor complaints about them.

The best way to check is - go to Logees.com and find the type of fig plant you want to grow, then check in information section of the plant in Hardiness zone field. I bought few plants and it’s growing good

Lemongrass is easy to grow from stalks. Get few stalks from grocery store and keep them in a glass of water. Change water once in 3 days. You shd see roots emerge in about 7-14 days time. Plant them either in a ground or in a container later. I got curry leaf plant from Logees.com. Great quality!! It survived Ohio winter!!
Hello fellow gardeners,
I have been enjoying this site immensely for over a year now. The beautiful plants and flowers I have seen are awesome. Many of these plants I have never seen before. I was wondering if any of these plants are for sale or if not where can I get them. I live in Richmond Virginia, USA
Thanks and keep up the good work.

Are you in the States? My favorite site for unusual things is www.logees.com. I have gotten healthy starts when I order from them. Little pricy but stuff you don't see anywhere else.
I am thinking about acquiring a finger lime tree. I am not sure where to get one. Does anyone know a good place to get one & if I wanted to grow from seed, are they identical to the parent? How long would it take to have fruit? Also thinking about a budda's hand or moro blood orange. Hmmm. Decisions, decisions....

Logees.com sells small plants of them. Check out their site. You would get fruit the first year on those. From seed possibly the second year.
Oops deleted my own post lol!
