  Next resource: http://www.ehcd.com This center was featured in a write-up in a chemistry journal in the early 1990's, because the editor had developed "multiple chemical sensitivity" as a result of formaldehyde sensitivity. The clinic was able to help him. The clinic has a mixture of different kinds of doctors with alternative medical approaches. Depending on your friend's problem, I might try them first - if environmental sensitivity is suspected.
