I have worked as a bicycle mechanic in various shops around Bristol for the last 6 years and I have completed Cytech levels 2 and 3 which is the highest cycle maintenance industry training standard.
I believe in offering both excellent customer service and very competitive pricing policy to all my customers whilst retaining a high level of workmanship.
I am able to work on all bikes from student bangers to commuters and high end race bikes as well as electric and folding bikes. I can do simple repairs such as puncture repairs, cable fitting and brake block fitting whilst customers wait. If the job is more complicated such as a complete service or a wheel build or fork service it may require booking in. I can also deliver repaired bicycles to people if needed.
I also offer cycle maintenance tuition in the form of a Beginner Course that covers complete bicycle setup and tyre/tube replacement as well as an Intermediate Course which covers more advanced jobs such as replacing brake blocks and cables and the setting of brakes and gears and much more. The aim of this tuition is to get more people out on their bikes and feel comfortable using and fixing them. For this reason, I also offer free advice via email/my Bike Man facebook page should anyone want it
Independent bike shop recommendations Evening all
I’m looking to buy a bike in the near future (subject to the new lockdown...) and am after some recommendations for independent bike shops in the Bristol area. I’m based in Cardiff but happy to shop in Bristol if the choice of shops is larger / better.
My budget is approx £2k and I will be looking for a sturdy road or gravel / CX bike as I am > 100kgs.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Many thanks

Hello from Bristol, UK. Can any one recommend a local(ish), good, independent bike shop for services and repairs? I took a tumble into some bushes over the weekend and now I’m having bike issues.

Bike shop recommendations Hey Bristol.
My bike is in need of some serious repair work which may end up being replacing everything but the body and although there are loads of bike shops in Bristol, they all seem to cater for high-end bikes, whereas I am a student looking to do things on the cheap. Where would you recommend I get my bike up and running without spending too much money?
Thanks
