  I had a horrible experience that resulted in the death due to neglect of my dog that was left in their care thanks to Companion Animal Clinic and resulted in them being fined by the Board of Veterinary Medicine. Every case is not the same, but be careful if you chose them.

  I'm glad to hear that they have changed. I still have all the paper work/letters that we received from reporting them and inquiring as to what was being done. I have plenty of friends who have had problems with VCA as well, and plenty others who have had problems with Companion. Our puppy had parvo and was left in the nonventilated area in the back of Companion Animal Clinic that is slightly chained off in a kennel. They never bothered to change the IV bag, and nobody bothered to come in during the weekend to check on him and because of that, he died. An investigation was launched and they were fined, while it is not illegal to keep an isolation area outside, it was illegal to have it nonventilated and they were required to check on the puppy who wasnt even four months. As I stated, every situation is different and there are a lot of horror stories about VCA as well.

Anyone know of a place that doesn't charge an arm and leg?? Or know when a place is offering free spay and neuter?? Would greatly appreciate some info. Thank you!
