About us
My name is Bonnie. I started Shabby Abby back in 2013 when I unexpectedly lost my job. My daughter Abigail (Abby) was only a few months old and I wanted more than anything to be a "stay at home" mom. I began Shabby Abby in my home garage working on custom refinished pieces and began refinishing customer's existing furniture. I very quickly outgrew my garage and in 2014 I decided to open a store front. I have been extremely blessed with a large online following and Shabby Abby has continued to grow. We began offering more services such as Kitchen and Bathroom cabinet refinishing and this is now a large portion of my business. I expanded the store front in 2015 to include another building for furniture and home decor and in 2016 I was blessed with my second daughter Lilly. I started my business initially to justify staying home with my children but it grew into so much more. Abby is now 4 and Lilly just turned 1. I have been blessed with amazing family that supports me, customers and followers who drive me, and a husband and children who are my constant motivation for following my dreams and doing what I love each and every day. I have often said, I do what I love and I am just fortunate that enough people also love what I do enough for me to make a living doing it.
