  I'm getting a lot of questions about shuttle transportation for out guests so I am going to give in and book something. The only problem is that we are so close to our wedding date and funds are running low. We would need a shuttle from the hotel to the venue, which is literally a 10 mile trip, however every quote I get is almost $1000 for before and after service. Has anyone used a company that can do one run before the wedding and one after for less than $500? TIA!!!!

My husband and I are having our birthday party out of town and want to provide our guests (around 80-100) with transportation. Not looking for anything fancy, a school bus would definitely suffice!   This may be difficult, but here's hoping to get some info... Wedding is on August 15th in Gearhart, OR. We're in need of a shuttle service of some kind because the location doesn't allow parking of more than ~10 cars. Our guests are staying in varying hotels within a 5-10 minute drive. I've been considering renting a 15 passenger van to do so, but with details such as finding someone from our guest list to drive (read: stay sober) and the price of having to rent it in Portland (which would mean having the rental for at least 2 days AND gas), the cost (~$600) seems a bit steep. Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe a better way to organize car pooling for people staying at the same hotels?

  http://www.firstcharterbus.com I put in a request for a quote. Also submitted a request for a quote to a local Seaside company called Seaside's Best Tours. The Elk's Lodge I spoke to recommended senior center's and church's, but no one would do it due to liability.

  https://www.facebook.com/FirstCharterBus -- I know your first thought might be about them being school buses - but they aren't school buses kids are on and if you look at some of the wedding photos with them they're pretty cute. I got a quote from them and they were only like 600$ and fit I think 40 people. Not too bad especially if the ride to/from the hotel is short. Everyone will be happy just to have the ride!
