I am in the process of downsizing. At this point I am going through my mom's and grandparents glasses, china, silverware, crystal, and silver. Really confusing what is worth something and what is not. Is there a reputable place I can go to find out?

Jacque thanks for the mention. My husband and I own GC5 Estate Services. ( Find our page on FB) We go in and do tag sales when someone passes. Tips that I can give you... - Replacements is a great source for information. They will research it and give you all the information you ever wanted, they will also give you a quote. It will be lower than actual market value because they are in the resale market. -Use the information that replacements gives you to do an advance search on eBay for completed listings of the same patterns. This will tell you what it actually sold for NOT what it's listed for. - it's only worth as much as someone will pay for it and age is not indicative of value. Just because something is old does not mean it's worth a lot. - any of the people mentioned in the post earlier are all great people, I know them personally. Just keep in mind they all need to resale for a profit. - Best of luck and if you have any questions feel free to call. 919-818-4534
