  Does anyone know of a good car mechanic? So long story short we had someone come out and look at it and we thought we found the issue. But after we fixed the distributor cap the car will turn on now but it won't shift into first gear tell after it hits 4000 rpms. After it shifts into first gear it won't go past 30 mph. We are about to take it to the shop and pay hella money to get it fixed. Soo any help would be nice
