Well friends, I believe you gotta give credit when it is due.
You may recall a few days ago I asked for advice on where to take my car for a check engine light and some roughness that wasn't there before.
A bit more background to the story. My car was due for a clutch replacement, but with Crhistmas coming near and all, I was trying to find the most affordable way to get it done.
A very good friend of.mine, who is currently unemployed, and knows his way around cars (though he is not ASE certified or any of that) offered to do it for a very cheap price. Figuring that not only do I get to save, but also help him out, I decided to gamble. Clutch came out great, but three days later, my car as you might remember, started acting funny. My friend fell under the weather, so he couldn't help me then, so I asked here for recommendations.
After reading all the comments, decided to call the first guy of all who posted, Andrew Southwick, owner of Flat Black Auto.
Took the car to him, in less than 10 minutes he figured out what was wrong (and by the way, this is the first time I've ever met him, I'm not a friend of his making this up, lol). He got it fixed the same day, basically spotted what my friend missed when putting the car together, and did it for a very reasonable price indeed.
It was a great experience, and if any of you has a need for repairs, he definitely has my recommendation.
