My husband and I are five-time Flipsiders who just moved from Austin to Charlotte last month, and we're about to embark on our first trip to our new Transformus home! We're planning on running a small live music camp, featuring lots of live music performance, open mics, jam sessions, and late-night lullabies, but we're unfamiliar with the quiet area policy (there are no quiet areas at Flipside!). Can anyone help recommend the best place in open camping for our camp? We're looking for a) as much foot traffic as possible, b) no restrictions on moderate amplified sound, and c) not *immediately* next to the loud oontz oontz camps, since we're on live instruments. Does this exist? If you are reading this and you or someone you know is interested in a very solid investment, talk with me. Doing a conservation purchase gives something like 30% to 50% tax deduction. It won't take many people who have a bit of funds to invest (it doesn't have to be a donation - this is a viable investment that could turn a profit if that's what you are into) to make this happen.
