  Have you ever checked the Suffolk County Historical in Riverhead? They have an EXTENSIVE L.I. collection, but their catalogue is not online. You would need to call. 631-727-2881. I recall seeing a "Blue Book", 1930 ish there, but I am pretty positive it only covered the East End (Hamptons, maybe?). But if anyone would have what you're looking for, they would.
