  Hi all, just wondered if anyone had any advice re allergies in house rabbits. My little girl is regularly sneezing and after ruling out infections (she had 2 courses of antibiotics just in case) my vet says that is likely to be a dust allergy. Apart from the obvious cleaning stuff does anyone have any recommendations? I am regularly hoovering her vetbed, she is on very high quality dust extracted Timothy hay, she has wood pellets in her tray which are relatively dust free. Despite all this she still has the odd sneezing fit! Any ideas? Anyone used any natural remedies to help sooth the symptoms? Thanks in advance x

  Hi Johanna Leadley, Baytril is not a 'stronger' antibiotic, it is the first one they normally try. Has your bunny never had Baytril? I'm confused because you say in your post she already had antibiotics - which? If the vet gave you the antibiotics you must finish the prescribed course. If you are looking for a very good rabbit vet, you should check out http://www.cjhall-vets.co.uk/ I know it's not that close to you but most of us have to travel half an hour or an hour to get to the bunny vet. Well worth it. Hope your bunny gets better soon.

  Near Richmond in SW London. I take my two APHs there and they are fantastic. The head vet specialises in APHs so knows exactly what he's doing. Their website is http://www.cjhall-vets.co.uk/. They are not cheap (£56 for a consultation!)... but for a rescue I'm sure they might help you out with a discount.
