  Some Pet Valus also sell Science Diet. Another great site in addition to Jessica's advice is www.dogfoodproject.com which is written by a wonderful canine nutrition consultant who studied with the vets at Guelph and then beyond (away from the biased training received through Hills and Royal Canin). She is definitely qualified and educated. My top foods: - Fromm - Go! - Now! - Acana - Orijen (not for sensitive stomachs or puppies) - Natural Balance LID (Limited Ingredient Diet) - Honest Kitchen - Ziwe Peak Grocery store brands and foods sold in big box stores are generally not high quality and have questionable ethics at the corporate level or low-quality ingredients that are sourced overseas, which is why they can be sold for cheap. Reading the label isn't enough. We have to be more educated in our decisions about what we feed our pets. A few other pages: www.betterdogcare.com www.monicasegal.com These two ladies are phenomenal especially if you want to supplement a kibble with fresh food, cook for your dog, or provide a raw diet. Kibble is best unless you provide a truly balanced diet (not just something you found on the internet, but one provided by a qualified nutrition expert) for your pet. I have to say that I agree with Cory. It's incredible how brave (read: rude) we can be behind the safety of our keyboards. Let's pretend we're in real life, folks and treat each other respectfully. No one is going to listen to you if you're acting like a jerk. A little compassion goes a long, long way.

Our internal Medicine Specialist recommended her for our addisonian girl. Monica has a great deal of experience in formulating or enhancing diets for dogs with a variety of illnesses.   Lacie not all brands are equal. And you can spend a lot of money on trying to find the right one. We are confident in Monica Segal's word because of her search for the best brands by actually having them laboratory tested (she literally sent out samples and paid for it out of pocket), and because our trusted Internal Medicine Specialist sent us to her and because she has helped us with three of our dogs. So when she says Quest is the best brand, we trust it. I haven't had a UTIs as a problem so giving d-mannose is not something I have had to do. I don't know the dosage. Sorry.
