Need some advice please. My son is really interested in cars and becoming a mechanic. So after an old engine for him to just tinker about with to familiarise himself with before starting college in September. Does anyone have any advice on where to go or how to help with getting some hands on knowledge.... Many thanks X

My husband has a scrapyard and would be happy to drop off an engine and gear box for him to tinker with. Would need someone to help get it lifted off your end and have building work going on this week so couldn’t do anything until next week. www.car-components.co.uk
Can anyone recommend any places like silverlake to source a front bumper please? Have just spoke to them and they don't have what I need but I'm desperate to find a front bumper for a 2003 Ford Fiesta. Any help is much appreciated. Tia

Anyone know of any scrap companies that take your old car for cash. I have a Vauxhall vectra which needs removing as its not worth it getting it fixed !!!

www.car-components.co.uk can give you a quote. I have to warn you that the price of scrap is shocking at the moment though.
Hi. Just wondering if anybody knows of anyone that fixes gearboxes on cars? Having real difficulty finding a garage that doesn't have to send it off, which is going to cost so much more in the long run :-/ thanks x
