  Best bet might be to go to the hnfs.com site and search for optometrist in specialty with your zip code and just start calling to find one that has an appt today.

  MSSMH FAN QUESTION I'm pregnant and switching to Tricare standard because I refuse to give birth at balboa in San Diego. I want to have a natural birth does anyone know any doctors who support this and birth centers? Also does Tricare cover a breast pump?

  Try hnfs.com you can search for birthing centers in your area covered by Tricare standard. But know that they are not covered 100%. You have to pay copays and certain things. Then they cover a portion of the birth.

  Military friends, need input: I asked my PCM (a NP) for a referral today to a dermatologist for a skin cancer check. I haven't been very good about getting them done as often as I should. I'm considered 'high risk' because of my coloring (duh) & my dad has had several cancerous spots removed. (several LARGE areas) My PCM denied my request & said he would do initial screening & if needed would consul dermatology. Can I tell PCM "no, I'm not comfortable with that, I want the referral"?
