Next door to DMV. On the right. They can more than likely help you. Also I think it's called Alpha School but it's a store for parents n teachers. Iv bought several workbooks n stuff in the past from there. My kids attend public schools but I got the books to beef up their learning n to teach what schools don't.

We have several FB groups with suggestions. Easy Peasy Online has a great Kindergarten curriculum all set up for free. Coas usually has great workbooks and stuff you can use. Alpha school has some good posters and hands on stuff to use. Also, Connections Acedmey just lost their charter through the state. Oh and Teachers Paying Teachers has awesome options for curriculum. I usually get stuff around holidays.

Hey, anyone out there have public school contacts in Arlington, Loudoun or Howard, Frederick, Carroll counties in MD? Relocating that way in a few weeks; but it is a whole other world coming in from the "country"...

Gretchen, I'm still in No. Va. after growing up in Arl. & currently living in Vienna (Fairfax Co). I know several Ffx Co teachers & one in Bethesda Md (montgomery Co). Not sure what kind of connections you're looking for. This area has changed SOOOO much - get ready for culture shock. Let me know if I can help you find a Md. Realtor (I'm licensed in Va.) or if i can be of any help too :) Welcome back !

Gretchen, i have connections in the private school systems but not so much with public except for knowing several teachers at various schools. Hopefully Aaron can get you in the system- it's all about networking :) Best of luck!

I think it's common for all the shifting around of teachers to happen in the summer and then in late summer, they make calls to "outside" candidates, so don't be surprised if August is when you hear from someone! I would ask straight out what to to expect and when. I'm in Loudoun, and new schools open up EVERY year on all levels, so it's worth a shot here. :) Good luck!

Memoria press has one. I do t follow all the writing with it, but instead go over vocabulary prior to reading, then use all the question as open discussion questions. I'm not sure what age range though. ( I only needed to use the teachers part, not the workbook as I elongated the writing ( except for the enrichment. I used a notebook for that 1 part)
