  Is there anyone in the area who could somehow recycle parts from an old piano? I have a 50+ year old Wurlitzer Spinet that is in pretty bad shape. Just not worth it to fix it (I was quoted around $1000 just to get it in playing condition, and that doesn't include refinishing, which it desperately needs). I hate to just haul it to the dump, if someone can use the parts from it somehow.

  Not sure of anywhere in Wake Forest, but I googled and came up with this place in Raleigh: http://www.heritagepiano.net/index.html They do restorations, so not sure if they would like a piano for parts or not.
