You have to work with your Pattie to get them muzzle tolerant and this is NOT by using treats but putting it on at the front of your walk and keeping them moving so their mental focus is naturally focused on their walk. Build up tolerance with 10 mins next walk 10 mins next walk 15 mins etc. Place it on very tight at first so if they struggle to work it off they appreciate they can't . Midlandgreyhound.co.uk have lighteasy whippet type BLACK muzzles which means people arent avoiding you and so your Pattie and socialise or certainly learn to socialise without their play pops or instincts to involve their mouths on intros.
Does anybody know of anyone/have any links to companies that would be able to make a basket muzzle (preferable a lightweight one like greyhound racing) to custom made sizings ?
May I ask the people with whippets any recommendations where to buy a leather fishtail collar and muzzle? My greyhound girl is such a diddy girl the standard greyhound ones aren't small enough. She needs a muzzle as she is quite keen.
Ta muchly :)
