They are both accredited practicing dietitians (a step above nutritionist in terms of qualifications) and have a great clinic. you can check out their website at www.feedinc.net; they have a very holistic approach to health.   I'm confused and really need some advice on what to do. I'm in Australia. I'm 28 weeks pregnant with #2. I've been told I have GD at 5.1 and the cutoff for it is 5.1, so I just have it. My obstetrician sent a referral to a community centre at the QBN hospital last week. Noone contacted me, even after I called, noone returned my call. I popped in there today. The receptionist got someone else to help me. The lady I spoke to seemed confused and not really sure what to tell me. She then said there's a GD information session that I can go to on Friday. I don't want to go to an info session. I want to make an appointment with someone that can help me sort this out. I have no idea who esle to contact. I'm thinking to just go back to my ob next week and tell him all of this and say it's not good enough!?!

Currently trialling lactose elimination with my 3.5 year old (on our GP's recommendation) but looking for some guidance/advice on this and obtaining a more 'concrete' diagnosis as to whether it is in fact the problem.

  I am happy to assist if required, I am a dietitian with lactose intolerance... But I suggest you go have a hydrogen breath test done at Gastrolab in Canberra. For a young one the breath test is probably the easiest way to determine without putting your son on a difficult elimination diet. Just a thought...
