  Hi Kimberley , cake smash is an awesome idea. I have some examples of my cake smash photos here ( http://www.iconicphotography.net/siennas-1 st-birthday.../ ). A cake smash session is normally about 30 - 40 mins. This leaves about 20 mins of an hour sessio n ($250) to get some nice portraits with you and your 1 yr old as well if you like.
