  I just had two great experiences with local realtors who are helping me relocate from out of state. They both focus on apartment rentals. Jamie Grigg@Exposed Brick DC, http://exposedbrickdc.com and the folks at Urban Igloo, http://www.urbanigloo.com/ Jamie will scouring the MRIS listings and Craigslist to find you the perfect place and will take you out for showings at no cost. She's really responsive and great. Urban Igloo works with a lot of apartment and condo buildings, new and old and can often get some deals that you wouldn't get otherwise. I worked with Dylan, and while he wasn't as responsive with email as Jamie was, he did a good job arranging a few showings for me.
