  Professionals of r/ECE, are there any certifications that carry weight in your field, outside of a college degree? I’m looking to get a job doing electronic engineering, repair, or design. My last job had me doing a lot of electronic r&d for special projects, and I became pretty familiar with it and thoroughly enjoyed it. I left that job for unrelated reasons, but I’d like to find a job that is more involved in that type of thing. The best outcome would be a job that would provide some tuition reimbursement for a degree in the field. I would like to have something on paper that shows that I have some idea of what I’m doing.   Not sure where your located, but when check out gohalliburton.com it's a oil field company but had a electronics dept. And a field tech. Not sure what it paid but heard it was pretty good . Just something to check out .

Ive looked online but everything requires a CDL and/or 100 years of oilfield experience! Im looking into getting my CDL so I can do hotshotting, so if anyone knows any companies that will help train, that would be wonderful! I have 3 years! Some safety, some as a laborer, worked at a salt water disposal, worked hydro-vacs on the drilling side & done some labor work like powerwashing rigs for stack outs
