Hi all. I'd like to start taking Rosie to some training classes, does anyone know any good local ones? Preferably daytime if possible. Thank you!

I'm a dog trainer (agility) and always take my pups to Pets in Practise http://www.petsinpractise.co.uk/
Sophie A. replied:
Pets in practise is local and extremely good. Kris glover runs it and she is a fully qualified behaviourist, who is also the dog expert on radio shows and vet practises. Look them up on google. They run a variety of classes for all abilities and ages. It's incredibly important you find someone who uses only POSITIVE reward based methods. Definitely NO dominance fear inducing methods!

can anyone recommend a good affordable dog trainer, if I can't get my dog to accept visitors into our house I'll have to take her back to the shelter
Helen T. replied:
contact info@petsinpractise.co.uk for information on their behaviour services. Wherever there is a behavioural problem, seek advice from a fully qualified behaviourist. More information on qualified behaviourists in your area can be found on the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors - APBC Website.
A client of mine has asked if I can find a good dog behaviourist in the Berkshire area for her. Is there anyone out there who feels able to recommend one for me?

Can anyone recommend, from personal experience, a good behaviourist within striking distance of Winchester please? For rescue dog with, probably, fear aggression around men. Ta!
Sally H. replied:
Depends what you mean by striking distance... Kris Glover is excellent... based at Burghfield Common http://www.petsinpractise.co.uk/
Hi ,
I am looking for a dog sitter to look after our highly anxious Cavalier King Charles Spaniel .She suffers from separation anxiety from my husband , so I'm looking for someone who will be able to cope with her needs x
Any help would be really appreciated :) x
Thank you
Chris G. replied:
There are some dog sitters in the files, although I personally don't have experience of any of them. Have you thought about getting help to deal with the separation anxiety? I would recommend behaviourist Kris Glover or one of her colleagues http://www.petsinpractise.co.uk/
Hi, can anyone recommend a trainer for our 7 month old puppy. He is a cross between a Jack Russell and a pug (jug). We are having trouble with him biting the kids and him running out of the house. I would really appreciate any recommendations. Thanks
Julie S. replied:
Kris Glover at Pets in Practise, or any of the other trainers there http://www.petsinpractise.co.uk/
Hi folks, can anyone recommend a dog behaviourist (young collie) for a family in West Ewell, Surrey. Thanks.
Becci C. replied:
I can highly recommend Kris Glover at Pets in Practise (www.petsinpractise.co.uk) She is full APBC and also a CCAB (certified clinical animal behaviourist) - one of only a few in the country. Can't recommend her highly enough, she is hard working, dedicated, highly skilled and generally lovely. Hope she covers your area, I am pretty certain she is in Surrey.
