Hi Ubud community, I'm looking for an amazing restaurant not too far (~20 mins drive) from Ubud palace to host a group 12-15 people next month. I want to give these friends a unique experience of Ubud with a dining option that is less about a large Long table of 12-15 people and a more inclusive, intimate space. Ideally there would be something special the restaurant such as a breathtaking evening view, sounds of the jungle/river or a stunning interior.
Food of course must be of the highest standard (vegetarian OK but healthy options is all that's required) and Budget is up to $40 USD per person (no alcohol).
I will jump on my scooter and start exploring however any suggestions are most welcome. Namaste!

Bali Food Safari would be good, or the Sofitel at Nusa Dua. They do a brunch on weekends...all you can eat with free flow wine, beer and soft drinks....good value.
Hi all
Looking for a brilliant place to host my 40th birthday. We did the Bali Garden boardwalk last year for my partners 40th so looking for somewhere different. Not looking for a restaurant but more something more along the lines of something funky, well priced with good food - share platter style. And entertainment would be a bonus
Thanks everyone Rachel

We will be travelling with a group of friends for my 40th birthday in mid November & staying at Conrad Bali in Nusa Dua for 6 nights. Can anyone recommend some really nice restaurants, funky bars or beach clubs (like Potato Head or Ku De Ta) in the Nusa Dua or neighbouring areas? Any other suggestions for "must-do's" or activities in this area would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Alison & Jason
