  I know a lot of you are involved in rescue organizations and I was wondering where the shelters, rescues, etc. are near phoenix. We are looking to adopt a dog soon but don't want to go to a pet store.

  Our rescue group, like many others, doesn't have a shelter. All of our dogs are fostered in private homes and brought to our weekly adoption event. Our next one will be Saturday, Sept. 7 at Petsmart on the NE corner of Stapley & Baseline in Mesa. www.facebook.com/happytailsdr
