About us
Welcome to Wild Glass where you can literally let your imagination run wild!
Starting from very small beginnings in Melbourne, Victoria, Wild Glass began with a new found love for gardening and a desire to have the luxury of luscious greenery despite the often cramped, Melbourne apartment lifestyle. Making the most out of small spaces soon led us down the path of the Terrarium. Encapsulating the beauty and serenity of a mossy woodland or rainforest floor, we could have it all…just on a miniature scale. From the very moment we created our first we both bent down and gazed into the bowl for the longest time….. we were hooked, the ideas started to flow, inspiration came and Wild Glass was born.
To introduce ourselves, my name is Talia Wicks and my partner in all things is my husband, Shaun Robinson. We are creative’s, in all sense of the word, Shaun with a background in music, photography and animation and myself an artist and singer with a BA, we found ourselves working full time in the heart of Melbourne in the daily grind of an office. This was far from the lifestyle we had hoped for and soon enough Terrariums became a type of escape. After work hours, then weekends, we soon found ourselves immersed in a land of miniature worlds, full of creative possibility, with endless inspiration for the project. Clearly, the Terrarium was destined to be our next big adventure. With a relocation back to our Tasmanian roots, we left the hustle and bustle of the city and set up the business in the beautiful, historical town of Latrobe. We are currently exhibiting at markets and pop-up shops, working on an online store and aiming to teach Terrarium workshops within the year.
With a wide range of designs available and custom order options, each of our Wild Glass creations are individually crafted to suit your every desire. So whether you love the natural look, a mossy rainforest scene or a whimsical miniature world we can bring your imagination to life! Available in multiple... show more sizes and styles, we are sure we have something to suit everyone. Fantastic as table centerpieces with a difference for weddings and events, Wild Glass is also available for hire or to rent long term for business receptions/waiting rooms etc.
The Wild Glass experience is not only limited to the purchase of your own miniature world. We offer our ongoing support and are available to answer any questions you may have regarding your new Terrarium. For those of you that require, Wild Glass also offers maintenance services and plant replacement/refreshment, to ensure our customers a sustainable, living piece of Art that continues to thrive and impress.
