About us
'Service to Mankind is Service to the Lord' – is the concept under which the Devi Clinic and Faculty of Integrated Medicine founded by Prof. (Dr.) Sir Selvakumar Selvathurai was established on the 15th of March 1996.
The Clinic commenced its activities as an alternative medical treatment centre; with Acupuncture, Homoeopathy and Manipulative Medicine as therapies offered and then expanded to accommodate a University in its premises thus becoming the first Teaching Institute in Acupuncture accredited by the Government of Sri Lanka. It now offers courses in Acupuncture and Alternative Medicine for students both in Sri Lanka and overseas and has produced hundreds of Acupuncturists of international fame with affiliated clinics and associations around the world.
The teaching academy, as a result of its proven credentials has also been affiliated to the prestigious Global Foundation for Integrative Medicine - U.S.A.
With undeterred belief in "Do not see what kind of a disease a person has instead see what kind of a person who has the disease and treat the person holistically instead of the disease" as this will treat and cure the disease at grass root level.
