He's short so needs a 16.5'' and he's in a wide but he has big shoulders which seem to push his saddle back. Everything I've tried on him have fit at the gullet but sit tight on his shoulders.   another shout for All Saddle Solutions...Claire Fitzmaurice will defo be able to help her saddles come flocked or Flair...I have several for my daughters ponies who are all wide/xwide flat backed/no wither and sprung ribbed non standart fits and have no issues...mine like the flair but Claires flair system is different to ones I have used in the past. ASS flair is soft not packed full of air to create a massive bounce-the reason why most object to flair. give her a call.

I've used the Reactor panel saddles since they where Roe Richardsons, and currently have the 'Lucinda McAlpine' & like the seat/cut/shape etc and freedom of movement they give the horse in back & shoulders, but I've said I'll look at others, so what's out there?   I have an All Saddle Solutions dressage saddle and I have a very chunky Wb. He has a big wither but tables straight out and I was having a nightmare getting a saddle to fit and allow him the big movement that he has. I have a different horse now he is in the All Saddle Solutions saddle. It is also a great fit for me as I have very short legs so I have an 18" seat and nearly 16" panels. Suits us both down to the ground. After care been fine :)

We've tried everything, saddle fitter is out tomorrow but have a confident feeling he is going to need a new one, 3 months ago she hinted that he probably will (just come back into work after 15 months off) He's an awkward shape, very short and flat back but with high withers. He also changes shape a lot over summer and winter so a made to measure one is out of the question. looking more towards a dressage saddle but recommendation on GP's will help aswell!   All saddle solutions are great because they are made to measure but have an air system so can be adjusted as the horse changes shape. I've just ordered one for my youngster. They've got good reviews but they are expensive! Not saying how much cos the boyfriend might see. :)
