  Ok, because Portugal has pulled out of the reciprocal agreement with the UK regarding healthcare, as early retirees we are not entitled to Portuguese healthcare, it is not just Portugal either, the whole of Europe. This means we have to have private health insurance until we are in receipt of a state pension, than we can get an S1. We have been here 2 weeks, this has really knocked us for six, we did not budget for this. Can anyone recommend an inexpensive health insurance company please?
