  Landscape Design Has anyone worked with a landscape designer (not landscape architect) where they just got a landscaping plan? I want to do all the work myself over time, but I would like to be working from a comprehensive plan rather than coming up with it as I go. Recommendations?

  Merrifield Garden Center (www.merrifieldgardencenter.com) provides this option. We did this several years ago. One of their planners came out to our place, looked at the area, and talked to us about what we wanted. Then she drew up the plan which included suggested plants and where to put them.
