NEED ADVICE !!!!!
Got told by a vet to not have a horse dentist because they can't get right back in the mouth and they ain't licence to give sedation to a horse and the only want to do a good job is by sedating them
But today I got told a vet isn't the best because they ain't qualified to do the teeth and to get a horse dentist as that's what they specialise in
I need my mare done and don't know what to do
Drop dentist names or good vets that does a good job
I am located from Abergavenny

I would always use a vet and make sure that they have taken additional qualifications relating to dentistry. If you have a look at Equine Dental Clinic's Facebook page, by the world expert in equine dentistry, Chris Pearce, you will see just how frequently he has to deal with things that have been missed, sometimes for years with several visits by an equine dental technician, which need to be put right and have caused the horse immense pain.

This gentleman IS an expert in equine dentistry. I attended a talk a couple of years ago that our Vets had arranged. There were qualified equine dentists and vets who attended as well as horse owners and we all learned something from him. He doesn't do anything, including routine examinations/floats without sedation. www.equinedentalclinic.co.uk/
Recommendation for equestrian vet. I'm in Organford. Also, do they do teeth or should I have them done by someone else? If so, can anyone make any recommendations? Thanks very much x

For teeth I would always recommend Chris Pearce as he is an equine dentist who originally started out as a vet! Brilliant dentist and lovely guy, he travels all over the world to help horses and trains other equine dentists! He is fully qualified and is amazing! His website is equinedentalclinic.co.uk
