  We've done all our boarding for our puppy through [Now Boarding](http://www.nowboardingpets.com/), his first was at 6 months old. The staff there is great and we love that he gets 40 minutes of group play each day (regardless of the weather since they have an indoor and outdoor play area).

  I live in Eagan and typically use wagging tails. I've used now boarding also and both places are good, but I like wagging tails better because they give the dogs more group play time and have Web cams where you can watch the dogs play. It's also closer to my house..

  I have used both Dog Days and Now Boarding and strongly prefer Dog Days. Part of that has to do with staff/atmosphere, and part of it is my dog's temperament. Now Boarding is much more the traditional kennel-style, and I didn't find the staff as warm and welcoming as the folks at Dog Days. Pros of Now Boarding: no interview process; clean facilities; supports the Humane Society; cheap base price Cons: Kennel-based - each dog has their own space and gets up to an hour of interaction complementary; extra play-time/interaction adds extra costs Personal story time: When I took my dog Muppy there for a weekend, it was his first time at a kennel but we were hard-pressed to find a place at short notice. I paid for extra group play, one-on-one time and walks to try to soften the blow and cater to his personality. Muppy is extremely social and doesn't like being physically but not visually separated (e.g. he's on one side of a baby gate, I'm on the other). When I picked him up after the weekend, he was nervous and kind of desperately happy that we came for him. We'd also arranged for a bath just prior to pick up, yet when we got him, there was loose stool on his fur and no one had bothered to clean it up. At home, he was anxious and had loose stools for 2 days after. I know that part of his anxiety and digestive trouble came from being left at a kennel for the first time - but I also feel that the overall atmosphere (kind of institutional) and boarding style was a big factor. I think that a dog with a different temperament might do better at Now Boarding. For Muppy, the play group model at Dog Days is just so much better. Honestly, I can't recommend them enough - and when we left Muppy there for a week over the holidays this winter, he was happy and well-adjusted. I take him there for daycare one day per week, and he loves it almost as much as the dog park. The staff is friendly, learned our names quickly, and is really accommodating if something unexpected comes up. Dog Days gets an A++ in my book :)
