Does anyone have or know where I could find "The Gunns Saute"?
Dolores W. replied:
Hi James, Clan Gunn could use some pipers in our area. My family lives in Portland Oregon. There is a piping society which meets at Milwaukie, Oregon, and possibly other groups around the state. Call the Scottish Country Shop in Portland at 503-238-2528, for more information about learning to play the pipes. They can tell you when and where to go, and supply you with music to learn, and most other things Scottish, that you may need.

Thanks Dolores, I have been to the Scottish country Shop years ago, felt like a kid in a candy store. I will give them a visit.
is looking for someone who can provide piping lessons in the Portland/Lincoln City Oregon area. I had an individual contact me from Lincoln City asking for lessons but I live too far away.
Jp H. replied:
I don't know if he's in range (Lincoln City is a pretty far piece), but Rob Barrick is an excellent instructor. He's been my instructor for about 6 months now. Something a little closer that I know if is the piping band Clan MacCleay in Tualatin, OR. Failing that, (and I'm sure you are already aware of this) they could contact the Scottish Country Shop ((503) 238-2528) to get a list of Piping instructors in the Portland Area.
