  If you go to a shop hit up dan from BPC talk to Dan or Mike and tell them i told you to call. Because most of the customers i send his way live outside of raleigh, he usually gives 10% off to offset the travel costs to go to him... www.bimmerperformancecenter.com Dan and Mike both just came from Leith BMW...   im assuming you are out of warranty now? if so i have a friend that runs a shop call Bimmer Performance Center in Raleigh. You can call him and see if he has the capabilities to reset the possible code cheaper than the dealership or if he would even charge you for that. (in the event it is cut off by the car) What area do you live in?
