Obviously us hipo people are all in the same boat at the moment, mud covered, unrecognisable, muddy monsters...and thats just us owners :) So could we pool resources and post our idiot proof methods for getting them clean enough to ride? I do like to keep Muds out as much as possible but he is fully clipped, wears a lw sheet with separate neck cover and a tail bag when its really wet and muddy. By doing this I manage to keep him clean from midway down his neck to the top of his tail so I can get a saddle on. I darent turn him out in one of those lovely hoods in case it slips over his eyes so tips for cleaning his head and ears to get a bridle on without it rubbing him please, Ive got a rubber curry and a round metal scrapy thing but wet clay just seems to stick :(
